What does the Hapori@PtCS actually do?
We are a group within the school whānau that enhances the school’s social culture in our community. We draw from the passion and skills of our wider community.
What is the most rewarding part of being involved?
There is a real sense of community building & you get to work with other enthusiastic whānau. It’s fun & it’s also a chance to model community involvement for our children.
Why don’t you have a PTA?
We have moved away from fundraising to focus on community involvement. We want you to join in and have fun without the pressure of raising money.
I don’t have much time. Can I still help?
You can give as little or as much time as you have. You could contribute by answering the call for volunteers for a single event.
I don’t have experience with this type of “thing”. What can I do?
Some of us didn’t either before we joined! You will be surprised at how your talents and skills can be used & valued.
What aspects of school life would you like to be involved with?
Cultural, Environmental, Physical activity, Wellbeing and Social. You tell us what you’re passionate about.
How often do you meet?
We meet twice per term but you don’t have to come to our meetings to be involved.
I have some questions, who do I speak with?
Juliet Pendleton, Deputy Principal julietp@ptchev.school.nz
